ALPHINE HEARTS CLIMBING FESTIVAL

We are Alpinehearts, a group of international women & queer climber friends, now a non-profit organisation. We are building a new climbing festival in the Alps! Super excited to have this initiative up and running, and to be sharing this journey with you.

Designed and created in 2007 by lesbian activist Luki Massa and Marta Bencich, the festival is promoted by the Luki Massa Association with the goal to continue Luki’s work focused on supporting indipendent movies, artistic projects and political narratives.

Cinema Queer focuses on films that question, discuss and look beyond the prevailing norms and highlight stories that are otherwise not noticed. The goal is to create a clear platform for LGBTQ films in Sweden, both for international films, but also for Swedish filmmakers and film enthusiasts.

The festival, which is entirely non-profit and run by dedicated queer volunteers, showcases groundbreaking films that explore and celebrate LGBTQIA+ experiences while fostering a sense of community and dialogue around critical social issues.
